Public Inquiry
About The Public Inquiry
A Public Inquiry into the Beauly-Denny power line proposals took place from 6 February 2007 to 21st December 2007. It was held in 5 sessions, starting with the Strategy session dealing with all the generic issues, and continuing with four area-based sessions, finishing with the Stirling session.
The Inquiry was one of the largest ever held in Scotland. Evidence was taken from nearly 200 witnesses. All their written evidence ("precognitions") is archived on the Public Inquiry website: www.beaulydenny.co.uk
The Reporters' findings on the Public Inquiry were completed and sent to the Energy Consents Unit on 17th February 2009.
